The candidate in this role is responsible for implementing and analyzing complex systems. This includes planning development, testing, and deployment processes for various departments. The candidate will be directly reporting to application IT Group Programme manager or application support manager.
Specifically, the duties of the post are:
Collecting and analysing the requirements for a new system/ upgrades and changes to existing applications and systems.
Generating detailed documentation such as flowcharts, functional and non-functional requirement definitions, as part of all implementations.
Detailed quality assurance of all deliverables by vendors and in-house development team prior to roll out and development of detailed QA documentation.
Coordination of project team members (i.e. users, vendors, IT project team) as part of change implementations.
Assisting in vendor management and make recommendations in areas that require a high level of technical competency.
Monitoring systems once they're in place and supporting the users with their queries.
Ownership of software Issue resolution with Vendor on behalf.
Prioritisation of change implementation and rollout.
Train and introduce others to new systems/changes.
Proactively engage in training and development relevant to the role.
Performing other duties as required from time to time
Comply with statutory legislation and rules and requirements in furtherance of your own and general staff welfare and safety.
Bachelor's degree in computer systems analysis/ computer science/ computer information systems (CIS) / management information systems (MIS)/ business intelligence or a similar field of study.
Knowledge & Experience – (Essential):
Ability to learn quickly and to contribute to a team effort.
Logical approach to problem solving.
Good interpersonal and client-handling skills, with the ability to manage expectations and explain technical detail.
Experience supporting business applications.
Knowledge & Experience (Desirable):
Detailed understanding of events booking system e.g. Ungerboeck.
Understanding of relational database(s) and ability to write reports.
