Software Developer
We are looking for a Software Developer that can work in either Sallins, Co. Kildare or Dublin offices for my client an Irish insurance provider.
About the role:
This position will involve working with all levels of management and external service providers.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain systems to meet the changing needs of the business
- Manage the implementation of new systems and upgrades
- Consult with internal clients and external partners to gather requirements about program needs, objectives, functions and features
- Develop standard and ad-hoc reports for the management team
- Develop and maintain procedures and policies
- Implementation of best practices
And this is what you need to have:
- Visual Studio: VB.Net or C# development
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and reporting solutions – SSRS, Microsoft Report Viewer, source control management, build processes, testing, release and change management)
- Experience with web services
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft desktop products, especially Access, Excel & Word
- Knowledge of project management strategy, such as Agile
- The ability to talk to your customers and deliver innovative solutions
- Interest with Microsoft Azure, or other cloud computing platform is desirable
- Knowledge of Team Foundation Server, GIT or other source control system is desirable
