MicroFocus Tools Engineer

Are you an experienced MicroFocus Tools Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the aerospace sector? Our client is seeking a motivated and proactive individual to join their team as an SME in MicroFocus and Nagios Asset Management Tooling.
 

Location: UK (Hybrid - occasional travel to Preston)

Contract Duration: 6 months

Sector: Aerospace

Rate: £450 per day
 

Responsibilities:

• Drive a change in data collection and gathering to improve the quality of data managed by the Hosting organization.
• Ensure the tools become the single source of truth for all required information, replacing ad-hoc and legacy script tools.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the asset management technology in a large environment.
• Investigate and diagnose issues related to the tools and the underlying operating systems.
• Continuously improve data and process outputs, with a focus on achieving deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
• Collaborate with the wider support team to utilize the tools for various activities, from support to projects.
• Work autonomously, demonstrating accountability and ownership for your scope of work.

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge and expertise in MicroFocus and Nagios tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in both detailed and simple terms.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and deal with ambiguity.
• Analytical and methodical approach to tasks.
• Prior experience in support and maintenance of toolsets and operating systems.
• Security Clearance (SC) for access to the secure network.
• Must be within travelling distance to Preston.
