Our client, a leading independent Home & Hardware store in Ireland, is seeking a Trade Electrical Manager to oversee all aspects of their trade electrical department. As the Trade Electrical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, developing new business, and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing the trade electrical department, achieving sales and margin targets, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the trade electrical department, including buying, stock levels, and margins.
• Drive sales and achieve sales and margin targets for the department.
• Develop and maintain a first-class trade electrical center catering to trade, commercial, and retail customers.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and the existing sales team to understand their requirements and provide appropriate product solutions.
• Ensure high standards of customer service, handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues efficiently and effectively.
• Identify sales opportunities and provide advice and solutions to maximize sales.
• Complete and follow through on quotations in a timely manner within the department.
• Take responsibility for re-ordering selected product lines and maintaining optimal stock levels.
• Stay updated on new product ranges for display and sale.
• Maintain a clean and well-merchandised counter/department.
• Implement company policies effectively.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Substantial experience working within the Trade Electrical Industry.
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen.
• Demonstrated ability to reach and exceed sales targets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and proactive problem-solving approach.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in the merchanting and/or construction sector (desirable).
• People management experience (desirable).
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
