Maria Calistrate – QA Engineer
Background
Having almost 10 years technical experience across QA Engineer, Functional Analyst, Technical Support Engineer and has experience in requirements gathering, analysis, configuring, testing, implementation, technical support and maintenance for client-server architectures.
Maria has worked in Romania and Dublin. Some of her roles have included:
Senior Functional Analyst for Metro Systems Romania, with responsibility for creating the solution concept for demands, as well as writing functional units and test cases.
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Dublin as QA Analyst role, supporting ongoing HMH Player agile development effort.
Functional Analyst & QA Engineer at Novensys Corporation, where Maria was involved in the analysis and testing of four web-based software applications, covering different areas of business: fleet management, searching and retrieving electronic documents, workflows and registration of people. She also worked also for Siveco as in a Technical Support Engineer.
QA Engineer in Avantgate, involved in two agile projects involving manual testing for release project and writing scripts for automation project.
What made this role appealing to you?
The role with HMH gave me the opportunity to work in a fast paced environment, using an agile methodology. I was interested in improving my skills in Agile, as it is the current trend in software development and a good addition to my portfolio.

The HMH contract was my first experience abroad and e-Frontiers gave me all the support during the process of my career move. They believed in me and encouraged me, working hard to find the right role for me.
